  • I primarily work via telehealth. If you choose to do an intensive then that is done in person in Northbrook or Wilmette.

  • Yes, many relationships can recover after an affair. In fact, with the right support, some couples develop a deeper level of emotional intimacy and communication than they had before.

Recovery requires honesty, emotional understanding, and a structured process for rebuilding trust. Therapy provides a safe space where both partners can express their emotions, feel heard, and begin to reconnect.

    • Intensives: $1,000/3 hour intensive and 2 individual telehealth assessments

  • I do not accept insurance, but I am an out of network provider and can provide you with a superbill. If you choose to do an intensive, that is something insurance would not cover and a superbill would not be provided for this service.

  • Every couple’s situation is unique. Some couples begin to see meaningful change within a few months, while others choose to work together for a longer period as they rebuild trust and connection.

The pace of therapy depends on factors such as the level of emotional injury, each partner’s readiness to engage in the process, and the goals you have for your relationship.

  • Affair recovery therapy typically involves several stages:

    1. Stabilizing the relationship and creating emotional safety

    2. Understanding the impact of the affair and processing the pain for the partner that was betrayed and the meaning of the affair for the partner who strayed

    3. Exploring the deeper emotional dynamics in the relationship

    4. Rebuilding trust and creating new patterns of connection

Each couple moves through these stages at their own pace.

  • Yes. I also work with individuals who are coping with the emotional impact of betrayal or who are trying to make decisions about the future of their relationship.

    Individual therapy can help you:

    • Process the trauma of betrayal

    • Understand your emotions and needs

    • Clarify your next steps

    • Rebuild your sense of stability and confidence

  • Couples therapy intensives are extended therapy sessions designed to help couples make meaningful progress in a shorter period of time.

Instead of meeting for one hour per week, intensives typically involve several hours or a full day of focused therapy. I do three hour intensives.

    This format allows couples to:

    • Work through complex issues without interruption

    • Make faster progress in the healing process

    • Develop new ways of communicating and connecting

Intensives can be especially helpful for couples working through affair recovery or significant relationship distress.
